| 1991 - Linh Son
Buddhist Temple Melbourne was established in
North Richmond.
1994 - Linh Son Buddhist Temple relocated to Reservoir after the successful purchase of former Lakeside Primary School. 1994 - 1998 Compassion Bodhisattva and the Lotus Pond were constructed with the help of many Venerables, Nuns and Buddhists November 1998 - The main fence was erected.. March 1998 - Permission for the construction of the Traditional Buddhist Gate and Archway was granted by Darebin Council. 2000 - Construction of the Traditional Buddhist Gate and Archway commenced. Mid 2001 - Construction of the Traditional Buddhist Gate and Archway will be completed. Click here to see a picture of the gate under construction. Future
|
2001 - Within the near future, possibly towards the end of 2001, the construction of a traditional buddhist garden will commence. This is to be further updated as the project progress. 2002 - Construction of the frontage of the main worship area will commence. Click here to see the proposal. The project will be completed within 6 months. 2001 - 2015 The Official Linh Son Buddhist Temple will be constructed on the main land site. The current temple will become a dormitory for dedicated buddhist followers. |

| 2001 - Producing Newsletter. We are hoping to produce a newsletter as soon as possible. However, it requires a lot of time and effort. At this stage, we are hoping for more volunteers.
